Lion Dance and Dragon Dance at Chinese Weddings

A cultural feast of sight and sound

by Kei Lun Martial Arts

Service Description - short version

CHINESE LION DANCING brings good fortune and blessings of long happy unions to marriages. It adds a festive atmosphere to wedding receptions and banquets with its parade of colors and live percussion instrument accompaniment.
During the dance itself, all of the props used also carry auspicious meanings, bringing well-wishes to the couple. If it's a feast of color and sound you want for your wedding--a highlight that you and your guests will remember fondly for years to come--a lion dance by Kei Lun Martial Arts is just what you're looking for.

Range of areas where we've performed:

Our group has performed in hundreds of weddings in Northern California in the San Francisco Bay area, however, we've performed for weddings in places as far away as Hawaii and Tennessee. For performances far outside the San Francisco area, our fees will include additional travel, lodging and meal expenses.

Pricing

The price for the lion dance is $600 for one lion, $800 for two lions, two being the usual number at Chinese weddings.

If you'd like to substitute one kei lun for one lion, please add $100.

If you'd like to have one or more of the masked character escorts at the performance (big-headed buddha, smiling woman, little boy monk) please add $100 for each. These funny characters are one of our group's best-known and strongest features!

(price quoted on November, 2004.  Please contact this group for up-to-date pricing.)

Various stunts will be performed by the lion dancers.  The lion is very grateful when fed with a red envelope. It may take place at reception ballrooms, your garden, front yard or any venue with sufficient ceiling height. Performs at weddings, birthday parties, opening ceremonies of stores, films, etc.

Some performing groups travel to any location in US.  If you are interested, may we suggest:
