I did it both ways. Grace Catering does a group one because they have to rent a banquet room and actually do a whole chinese banquet. I signed with Pearl Catering and they just made 4 dishes just for me, FI, and 2 friends at their restuarant. I don't see a problem with group tasting...you get to hear other couples comments.
