my two cents ---- most chinese banquets don't have cocktail hour, so "no" for us it's not weird. However, my friend has been to a chinese wedding where for 1/2 hr appetizers were served and she really liked that. (it was self serve). I know some brides here are doing appetizers where the waiters are serving it. I want to do it...only so I can use the other rooms at my venue (maximize my location fee.)
