I think it depends on my how many times that you are planning to change at the reception and how your venue will be. I'm only planning to wear 3 outfits. Here's what I'm doing. At the beginning of the reception, I will be wearing my white wedding gown to take photos with guests and family members. Then I wear the same white gown to cut the cake and do the 1st dance. Then I change into cheongsam to toast each table. After toasting, I will change into my evening gown. The evening gown will be my final outfit. I will be wearing the same evening gown to play wedding games, garter removal, bouquet toss.. all the way to saying goodbye to guests. Then I'm changing into a pair of jeans and head home :D I have seen variations on the order to wear the dresses. White wedding gown is always at the beginning at reception. Then evening gown for cake cutting and 1st dance. Then cheongsam for toast and say goodbye to guests. Some people wear 2 evening gowns. One to cut cake, then change again and wear another one to do 1st dance.
