I'm actually having my wedding on a Sunday because we had to change our original booked wedding date and the venue was no longer available on our "good" day. We're pushing everything earlier- ceremony 2:00pm, cocktail reception 4:30pm, dinner 6:30pm. I found that having our reception on a Sunday helps us keep costs down because most guests won't drink after dinner on Sundays because they have to go to work the next day, which means a lower open bar bill for us.
