I was under the same impression as both of you regarding Pacific Palms' $1000+ menus. It turns out that they only list the expensive packages on their website, starting at $1250, going up to $1550. My fiance ended up calling to find out that they actually have menus starting at $488, just without all the fancy bells and whistles includes. We worked with a nice woman by the name of Joanne Zhong. We negotiated the $588 menu, and instead of crab, we upgraded to lobster for an additional $20. She threw in all the necessities - complementary bride/groom room overnight stay, coffee and tea during cake/dessert, and things of that sort. The $1000+ packages on the website include a lot of little things that we didn't really need. Joanne was easy to work with. For example, because we exchanged the dessert included on the menu to bring our own wedding cake, she waived the cake cutting fee. She's rather easy to work with.
