if they say that the tip is included in the original payment, you do not need to tip in addition to that. however, you should realize that in catering contracts, when they have a service tip charge, a lot of the wait staff and the kitchen staff do NOT get a cut of the tips. usually only the maitre d' or the managers end up getting the money.
